Cookbook Of Love
(Country and Western)
There have been several skirmishes between Jake and Jessica. When Jake leaves the table for a few minutes, Becky, the ever nurturing waitress, goes over to comfort Jessica and to subtly remind her that Jake is not good for her. Jessica wonders where Becky got all of her wisdom. Becky explains that she was once in Jessica's situation until she came upon the COOKBOOK OF LOVE. In this country-and-western song Becky explains how this book helped her to discover herself; and Jessica could sure learn a few things from that book.

BECKY
I WALKED INTO THE BOOKSTORE,
ALL MY TROUBLES ON MY MIND.
I WANDERED UP AND DOWN THE AISLES
TO SEE WHAT I COULD FIND.
SOCIOLOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY,
THE SIGN SAID UP ABOVE.
THERE ON THE SECOND SHELF,
RIGHT UNDER SELF HELP,
I FOUND THE COOKBOOK OF LOVE.
I BOUGHT THAT BOOK AND READ IT CAREFULLY.
IT TAUGHT ME WORD BY WORD THAT I WAS FINE
AS CAN BE.
